John, a dynamic volleyball player, captures the moment when the ball is being set. For a split second the player has control over where the ball will go. This is almost like our lives. There are moments when we have control of our destiny. At that moment the rest of our lives can be determined by our choices. Much too quickly that time is taken away and we are again left with the consequences of our decisions. This sculpture reminds all of us of the responsibility we have to make the most of these small windows of time when we are in control of our destiny.
